Incheon International Airport (ICN)

Incheon International Airport is the main international gateway, located approximately 65 km west of central Seoul.

From Incheon Airport to Seoul

  • AREX (Airport Railroad Express): The Express train runs non-stop to Seoul Station in approximately 40 minutes (KRW 9,500). The All Stop train takes approximately 60 minutes (KRW 4,150–4,750) with departures every 5–10 minutes.

  • Airport Limousine Bus: Airport buses serve major areas of Seoul. Fares range from KRW 5,000–15,000 with travel times of 60–80 minutes depending on destination and traffic.

  • Taxi: Standard taxis are available at designated stands outside the terminals. Fares to central Seoul typically range from KRW 31,000–58,500 (including KRW 7,900 toll). International taxis with English-speaking drivers are also available at a 20% premium.

Gimpo International Airport (GMP)

Gimpo International Airport handles domestic flights and some international routes from nearby Asian cities. It is located closer to central Seoul and is connected by Seoul Metro Lines 5 and 9, as well as the AREX airport railroad.

Getting Around Seoul

Public Transit

Seoul has an extensive subway and bus network. The Seoul Metro operates 23 lines covering most of the city.

A T-money card is a rechargeable transit card that works on all subways, buses, and taxis in Seoul. Cards can be purchased at convenience stores and subway stations throughout the city.

Taxi

Taxis are readily available throughout Seoul. Standard taxis (orange or white) use a meter, and most accept T-money cards or credit cards. Base fare starts at KRW 4,800. Translation services are available via the taxi call button if needed.
