KOSMO: The Artists’ Knowledge Graph of the Guggenheim Museum Bilbao is an interactive mediation tool that visualizes and connects the artists represented in the museum’s collection. Developed by La Tempesta with the Guggenheim Museum Bilbao, it integrates biographical, bibliographical, and exhibition metadata to reveal semantic links between creators. Through interoperable vocabularies and linked data principles, KOSMO allows users to explore relationships by artistic movement, medium, decade, or geography. This graph-based interface exemplifies how metadata design and semantic technologies can transform museum collections into dynamic, accessible, and educative digital ecosystems of cultural knowledge.
