ZBW – Leibniz Information Centre for Economics is a research-based information infrastructure for economics and a member of the Leibniz Association. The institution is one of the largest of its kind. ZBW is committed to make research findings in economics accessible to everyone nationally and internationally – it accommodates more than 4 million media units and provides access to over 2.5 million digital full texts and thus holds the world's largest stock of economic literature.

ZBW continuously develops innovative information infrastructure services and promotes the Open Access Transformation in economics. ZBW is scientifically affiliated to the Universities of Kiel and Hamburg via several professorships and conducts its own application-oriented research in computer science and information science, with a focus on Open Science.
