    Mr. Xu Qiang currently serves as the Deputy Director of the Shanghai Library (Shanghai Institute of Scientific and Technical Information, and the Shanghai Historical Collection Preservation and Conservation Centre), holding a Master's degree.

    He is a Standing Committee Member of the Library Buildings and Equipment Section of the International Federation of Library Associations and Institutions (IFLA), a member of the Academic Research Committee of the China Library Society, and Director of the Library Buildings and Equipment Professional Group. He also serves as the Deputy Director of the Library Regional Cooperation Professional Group of the Public Library Branch of the China Library Society.

    Mr. Xu has long been dedicated to academic research in library information technology, digitalization, multimedia services, library architecture, and innovative public services. He has made significant contributions to the development of a world-class urban library system in Shanghai. Notably, he led the planning, construction, and operational management of the Shanghai Library East, which is one of the largest single-building library in the world.
