The DCMI Usage Board has served as the maintenance committee for DCMI Metadata Terms since 2001. The scope of the Usage Board was broadened in 2018 to include BIBO and LRMI specifications.

Legacy Wikis

Between 2004 and 2016, DCMI provided wikis where working groups could collaboratively edit agendas, minutes, and specifications. Since 2016, collaborative work takes place under a DCMI account in Github repositories, and the contents of the wikis themselves have been preserved in Github. While DCMI has preserved the contents of documents from both wikis, links in those documents to other wiki documents were specific to MoinMoin and MediaWiki syntax and no longer resolve. Interested users may be able to find documents of interest at the following locations.

Description of document:	This document describes the process by which the DCMI Usage Board reaches and documents decisions. The descriptions of process in this document are intended to guide the UB in executing its responsibilities for ensuring "an orderly evolution of the metadata terms maintained by the Dublin Core™ Metadata Initiative". The process statements are amended from time to time to reflect the evolving role of the Usage Board. In case of discrepancies, the DCMI Bylaws control.

1.1. Membership. The Usage Board will consist of at least seven and no more than eleven people (nine is ideal) appointed by the DCMI Directorate.
