Guidelines for implementing Dublin Core in XML become DCMI Recommendation and new XML schemas published

The DCMI Directorate is pleased to announce that the Guidelines for implementing Dublin Core in XML is now a DCMI Recommendation. This document considers both simple (unqualified) DC and qualified DC applications. At the same time, a new set of XML schemas is published. These support the encoding of Qualified Dublin Core metadata records, including the use of element refinements and encoding schemes, and follow the conventions described in Guidelines for expressing Dublin Core in XML.
