| Description of Document: |
This document is intended as an
entry point for users of Dublin Core. For non-specialists,
it will assist them in creating simple descriptive records
for information resources (for example, electronic documents).
Specialists may find the document a useful point of reference
to the documentation of Dublin Core, as it changes and grows. |

6.2 Simple HTML Examples
General examples [1]

Example: Special character encoding
[1]
<meta name = "DC.Creator"
content = "Da Costa, José">
<meta name = "DC.Title"
content = "Jesse "The Body" Ventura--A Biography">
These examples show how some special characters may be encoded.
The author name in the first element contains a diacritic encoded
as an HTML character entity reference -- in this case an accented
letter E. Similarly, the second contains two double-quote characters
encoded so as to avoid being interpreted as element content delimiters.

Rough wind, that moanest loud
Grief too sad for song;
Wild wind, when sullen cloud
Knells all the night long;
Sad storm, whose tears are vain,
Bare woods, whose branches strain,
Deep caves and dreary main, -
Wail, for the world's wrong!
