All Dublin Core documents with formal standing fall into one of the following categories:

Recommendations signify that the specifications are stable and are supported for adoption by the Dublin Core community.

Proposed Recommendations signify that there is growing support for adoption by the Dublin Core community and that the specifications are close to stable.

Working Drafts are for review by Dublin Core members and other interested parties. Publication as a working draft does not imply endorsement by the Dublin Core community.

Notes are made available by the Dublin Core Metadata Initiative Directorate for discussion only. The publication of a NOTE by the Dublin Core implies no endorsement of any kind.
